Social Media blogger J.D. Lasica reports about a San Francisco Chronicle blurb listing the Top 10 Cities in the U.S. for blogging and guess who ranks 8th in the U.S.?
That’s right == Columbus, OH!!!
Here’s the Top 10 list from Nielsen Media Research:
- Austin, TX (15% of adults going on the Web to read or contribute to a blog in the past 30 days)
- Portland, OR (14%)
- San Francisco Bay Area (13%)
- Seattle (13%)
- Honolulu
- San Diego
- Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
- Columbus, OH

It seems like we have a great opportunity to build the Social Media community here in Columbus

This is fantastic, who knew Columbus was rated so highly. I think this makes our goals even more attainable. I’d love to see Columbus be at the top of the list for merging all of this online activity with first life community interaction.
