Future Meet Ups
The Columbus Social Media Café typically meets the last Tuesday of every month (unless notified otherwise).

“In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.” Well, kids, the future is now and thanks to the Internet, Warhol’s observation from 40 years ago never rang more true. Art museums aren’t the stuffy, unapproachable vaults from days gone by. In a short program, we’ll see how art museums and centers are utilizing social media and technology to create community, an audience, and art exhibitions like never before, and with unique results.
We’ll hear from the Wexner Center for the Arts’ web team of Robert Duffy (also of donewaiting.com) and Jerry Dannemiller as well as Indianapolis Museum of Art Director of New Media, Daniel Incandela, via Skype.
We’ll wrap up with a reception and plenty of time to take in the Wexner’s much talked-about exhibition, Andy Warhol: Other Voices, Other Rooms for free!

I plan to attend and bring my yummy turkey chili. A small nit pick: I found out about the December date via the Columbus Tech meet-up calendar. I’d follow this site directly if whoever is running it would add a Feedblitz or Feedburner RSS update via email.
